Welcome to Just Your Floors! My name is Leif and I’m happy that you’re here.

You might be wondering why I created this website. After all, it’s not every day that you stumble upon a website about flooring. Well, you have a point there! Believe it or not, there is a cool back story. STORY TIME!

My father owns and has operated a flooring business for over 35 years. For as long as I remember, he would come home dusty and tell us all about his day. Year after year I waited until he would let me work with him. When I turned 14, I finally got my chance. From sanding and refinishing floors to carpet cleaning, I did it all and I loved it! However, after working with my father for eight years and upon graduating college, I took a full-time job programming and stopped working on floors.

While I don’t work with floors like I used to, I still remember everything I was taught. I still enjoy hearing about my father’s experiences on the job. I still that same interest I had when I was young child waiting for my father to come home from work.

Along the way, I saw that many homeowners didn’t know how to care for their floors and in other cases, they had many questions on sheen, color, floor type, etc. I remember my father answering all of their questions with his big smile and leaving the homeowner at ease.

So why Just Your Floors? With this site, I hope to reach a larger audience. From simple questions of how to maintain wood floors to bigger decisions on which floors work best in a kitchen, I desire to provide a single source to guide.

While I may not know all of the answers, I welcome guest articles and search the internet for articles and products that assist in the process. I want to pass on my appreciation and interest in floors and Just Your Floors is my way to do that.

So Who Am I?

I’m a happy family guy and the creator of this site. When I’m not working on this website and spending time with my family, I work full-time as a Business Architect. I’m an avid sports fan and love talking technology.
